Dezeen Showroom: Spanish tile manufacturer Museum set out to emulate the look and feel of stone on a secluded beach with its Strond tile, which is suitable for a range of settings.

The Strond porcelain tiles are developed using manufacturing techniques that give them a naturalistic degree of detail.

The Strond tiles are said to have a naturalistic degree of surface texture

"Sand, surf, driftwood, shells and pebbles – the rich eco-system of the coastal environment – is wholly captured," said Museum's parent company Peronda Group sales director Aidan Roche.

Available in three neutral colours, Strond is a flexible tile that comes in an unusually expansive selection of five formats and multiple thicknesses, so it can be used for a range of settings both indoors and out.

They are suitable for a range of applications, including wet areas

Two of the larger square formats have an anti-slip finish that is good for wet areas, while the 20-millimetre-thick tile is well suited to outdoors and areas of high-traffic.

Arklam is part of Tile of Spain, an association of more than 100 Spanish tile manufacturers.
