The art print collection includes typography posters with romantic phrases in French, as well as English, lovely abstract designs, and dreamy botanical prints.
Ideas for the French language prints were influenced by Claude & Leighton co-founder Laurent Stadelmann, who was born in France.
Laurent states: “The French language is perceived as musical and harmonious. Words often sound a little more romantic or exotic in French. I wanted to create fun, contemporary typography posters that will add a little sprinkle of French amour to homes and love nests.”
Some of the prints in the collection also reflect the times that we are living in, and the obligation for some relationships to be conducted at a distance.
Jayne Leighton Herd, artist, designer and co-founder of Claude & Leighton, explains: “Many people cannot spend time with their loved ones at present, or are having “socially-distanced” romances. Although for a different reason, Laurent and I experienced the challenges of a long-distance relationship when we first got together. So we understand how hard that is. We would send each other lots of little notes, letters and drawings to pin on our walls and help us stay strong and feel loved. So some of our new art prints, and the phrases that we use in them, not only reflect current reality, but also resonate strongly with our own story.”
Available in various sizes, each print in the collection is produced by Claude & Leighton, with high quality, fade-resistant inks on premium heavyweight, archival paper. Prices start at £18 for an A4 print.
