Dynapac recently unveiled the manufacturer’s latest soil compaction models the Rhino CA55-65-70 Soil Compactor series. The global leader within the spectrum of road construction and compaction equipment unveiled the models that came in the 18, 20 & 22 ton weight categories. The three new models are additions to the existing series the CA15-25-30-35 models that fall between the 6 and 12 ton weight category. According to a Dynapac insider the entire Rhino series were built with superior performance in mind which includes operator experience and optimal performance that minimises running and ownership costs.
Dynapac spokesperson revealed that the new machines which are fitted with the CUMMINS engine deliver both power and reliability which are without doubt among the most crucial elements that ensures maximum uptime for just about any heavy machine, not just roller compactors. According to Dynapac’s spokesperson the engine configuration for the Rhino series come in 3 options which are the II-Tier2, IIA-Tier 3 and China Stage 4 engine types.
All engine options feature six cylinders, & turbocharged and water-cooled configuration which enable these machines to deliver optimal and robust performance. The engines are capable of delivering up to 154kW of raw power which renders these machines more powerful by about 25% compared to previous generations. The CUMMINS engines are also highly fuel efficient which is in line with the manufacturer’s commitment to sustainability.
Among the more distinct features of these roller compactors is the enhanced view afforded to operators of both the surroundings and the working boundaries. Apart from that the operational console coupled with the sloped engine hood and clear line of sight of the front beam from the console gives operators total control of their roller hire equipment.
According to a senior marketing executive at Dynapac, the Rhino Roller Compactor series is also focused on operator comfort and some of the more distinct features of the machine in relation to comfort include a swivel seat that affords operators with ergonomic conditions and an easily accessible control panel that is ‘extremely; user friendly. According to the executive the user-friendly HMI interfaces ensure that the operators of the machine are able to learn up the mechanics of the machine from an operational perspective rapidly.
Towards the machine’s compaction context, the DCM system (Dynapac Compaction Meter) that these machines are equipped with ensure the best compaction results that is achieved by monitoring the DCM values that assures surfaces are compacted homogenously without any weak areas within the target compaction surfaces.
These machines have also been designed in such a manner that the maintenance and serviceable components of these machines are easily accessible and in essence “hassle-free”. The executive also indicated that these machines are targeted towards the roller compactors for hire market sphere.
Dynapac has been acknowledged by the international construction community as a leader within the spectrum of road construction equipment and compared to most other top heavy equipment brands, Dynapac offers a diverse range of road construction equipment that are innovatively designed and developed. The company is also the first brand to introduce the vibratory compactor to the global market.
